Welcome to Der Buchwald, the page of Rose Green! I write middle grade and young adult fiction, mostly with an element of the fantastical, and am represented by Tricia Lawrence of the Erin Murphy Literary Agency. To me, a good book has
interesting, complex characters I can relate to
who DO something
which has a palpable effect on themselves, others, or Life in General
and has a conclusion
(that gives hope).
(It's a given that the book is written in clean, strong prose.)

- I've lived in nine states and two foreign countries (Chile and Germany). I've seen penguins and alligators in the wild, lived next door to the circus, touched a head from Easter Island, and lived on the island from which the first shots of the Civil War were fired. I'm married to a professor of medieval studies, and have five kids.
